This food is a complete and nutritionally balanced vegan diet for kittens and cats. This food meets all nutritional requirements according to the Association of American Feed Control Official’s (AAFCO) cat food nutrient profile for a kitten to mature adult maintenance.
A natural product with the exception of synthetically produced taurine, niacin and some vitamins this food contains no artificial colours or preservatives. All raw ingredients used in this food are of HUMAN CONSUMPTION quality and where possible ORGANIC. They are wheat and GM-free. Most of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes are added in a whole food state to enhance absorption. All whole foods are human grade and ORGANIC, wheat and GM-free.
All vitamins including all the B group, minerals and calcium are added in balanced amounts to ensure your pet has every nutrient for bodybuilding and maintenance, from a tiny kitten to a mature adult. Amylase and other enzymes are added to predigest the food for cats. Taurine and L Carnitine are added in the correct amounts. Although cats can manufacture their own vitamin C, extra is added to assist the autoimmune system. Wheat is excluded from this food to aid those with allergies.
Essential Fatty Acids
Flaxseed Oil, Soy & Sunflower Oil are included as sources of Linoleic Acid. The actual long-chain tare/acids Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), Arachadonic Acid (Aa) and Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) have also been added. These ingredients assist cats who cannot break down Linoleic Acid and promote a healthy coat and skin and general wellbeing.
Enzymes
Natural enzymes have been added to assist in pre-digestibility. This is an essential ingredient for cats due to their short gastrointestinal tract and rapid rate of food passage.
The PH of Veganpet is slightly acidic and low in magnesium.
Feeding
Every cat has unique food requirements. We have included an approximation of minimum amounts needed to provide the necessary nutrition for your cat. You can feed more than the quantities listed of supplement with other foods as our Vegan food is mainly whole food, without chemicals, preservatives or colourings – you can feed your cat greater quantities safely.
Feeding Recommendations (adjust for age, activity and other foods provided):
Adult Cat
1.5- 2.5kg weight: Feed approximately 0.25- 0.5 cup daily
2.5- 4.5kg weight: Feed approximately 0.5- 1 cup daily
4.5- 7.0kg weight: Feed approximately 1 – 1.33 cup daily 1 cup = 130grams

Directions
Change your cat's diet to our Vegan food gradually by mixing the old food with 20% of our food, slowly increasing the amount over several days. Mix the food in warm water or with any wet food. Always have fresh water available to your cat as well as shelter from heat or cold and remember, lots of love is most important.
